General requirements

 

The applicants with usual domicile in Brno City only come under the sphere of authority of the Drivers Agenda Section of Brno City Municipality, Kounicova 67, Brno.

 

Each applicant must support the application by a valid proof of identity and prove usual domicile in the territory of the Czech Republic.

 

A valid document issued according to the Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Aliens in the Territory of the Czech Republic and on amendment of several acts is considered to be a PROOF OF IDENTITY of foreign nationals:

 

Citizens of European Union submit e.g.:  

  • a certificate of temporary residence together with a valid proof of identity, for which the certificate had been issued
  • a certificate of residence permit for a citizen of a member country of European Community and the like

 Citizens of third countries submit e.g.:

  •  a certificate of residence permit for a foreigner
  • a residence permit
  • a visa
  • a certificate of residence of a family member of a citizen of the European Union
  • a certificate of a permanent residence permit
  • a certificate of residence permit of an asylum seeker
  • a prove of residence entitlement of a person granted subsidiary protection etc.

  

The usual domicile is:

  •  a permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic or
  • a place in the territory of the Czech Republic, where the person stays for 185 days in a calendar year at least because of personal links, and possibly also because he/she runs a business, performs other self-employment or dependent work in the territory of the Czech Republic, if the person does not have a permanent residence in the  territory of the Czech Republic (i.e. has a temporary or long-term residence) or 
  • a place in the territory of the Czech Republic, where the person stays because of personal links and returns to it regularly although he/she runs a business, performs other self-employment or dependent work in other country, unless performing such activity in other country is limited to a fixed duration.

 

Personal links are:

 

  • sharing a common household – the applicant proves this by submitting e.g. an evidence of sharing costs of running a  household, a power supply contract and the like
  • family links – the applicant proves by submitting e.g. a marriage certificate, a certificate of birth of a child born in the Czech Republic, a proof of residence of a family member of citizen of the European Union
  • ownership or lease of real property

 

An evidence proving a usual domicile of an applicant, who does not have permanent residence in the territory of the Czech Republic, is

 

  • a certificate of daily form of study,
  • a certificate of temporary residence pursuant to Act on Residence of Aliens in the territory of the Czech Republic,
  • an abstract of real estate cadastre confirming right of ownership to a real property,
  • a real property lease contract,
  • a certificate of employment – confirmation of the employer's human resources department that the employment contract made on ...(date)..... continues
  • an abstract of Register of Trades
